Matt Williams is Another Advanced TRCOA student. Matt is a part of a metal band called Hell. He also goes by MSW for his only personal work. He is going to be graduating from our Recording Arts Program soon and we wanted to share with you his story.
Background
If there is one Matt is, it's authentic and it shows in his music. He purposely refuses to use any "fake" electronic instruments. He prefers the raw and natural sound of different instruments. That led him to learning how to play a variety of instruments in addition to mixing and mastering his songs. By the age of 13, Matt started his own band where he did vocals and guitar.
Plans for the future
After Matt graduates this year, he is planning to go back to his hometown of Salem, Oregon to focus on music. As the pandemic restrictions begin to loosen, He wants to take his band back on the road. He doesn't yet have a roadmap of where he wants to go, but hopes that someday he will get to play a show in Japan.
